I’m being censored by Twitter.
This never happened before I started reporting on freedom and restrictions being removed.
I have been reporting on news from Sweden for many years and I have never been censored before. But after I started reporting on freedom, all of a sudden Twitter decided to remove the verified blue check mark that I have had for over 4 years, with no explanation.
Not that I care very much about the blue check mark itself, although I do get many people who impersonate me so it is good to have so that people know it is the real me.
What happened for Twitter to suddenly decide to remove it after having had it for over 4 years? The timing is strange indeed, as it happened after I started reporting on freedom and countries removing restrictions.
I haven’t suddenly become less well known, if anything more people know about my reporting now than before. The reason for doing this has to be something else. Could it be that the Canadian government didn’t like my reporting on the truckers convoy and decided to contact Twitter?
We know that most of the mainstream media aren’t reporting the truth anymore, so independent journalism is more important now than ever to stand up for democracy, human rights and freedom.
Now it is important to follow the reporters and people that you like on other platforms away from Big Tech. As people no longer follow the media as much as they used to and instead use social media, the censorship has gotten worse and worse over the last years.
Just go back a few years ago and it would be unthinkable the amount of censorship we are seeing now on different social media platforms.
I remember for example YouTube being a place where you could post pretty much anything that went under lawful free speech just a few years ago. Now people get banned on YouTube for the smallest of disagreements with the establishment.
Clearly, the censorship has not gotten better, rather it has gotten worse.
There are now several platforms that support free speech, Substack included. But also others like Telegram.
I want to thank everyone who have subscribed to my Substack newsletter, as it is the best way to keep hearing directly from me.
As I’m being censored by Twitter, it is important to make sure you follow me on other platforms so you can keep hearing from me in case I get banned.
Please share this to let everyone know where they can find me and thank you for your support!

I'm pretty sure I was following you on Twitter but when I checked just now I wasn't anymore, looks like they're silently removing your followers too.
Sorry to hear that Peter! I sense the censorship has been getting worse during the pandemic than perhaps ever before on social media. My Twitter account was permanently suspended with 25,000 followers. All gone, overnight. So I'm off Twitter for good. That was for reporting on the use of Ivermectin to treat Covid in India and Mexico. So I moved over to Substack. It's tough starting from scratch but satisfying to develop your thoughts knowing you will not be censored!
