There's a reason America passed a law in Thomas Jefferson's day that disallowed Muslims from immigrating to America. Obama, Pelosi and Schumer screwed us over when they repealed it. America doesn't have it as badly as Sweden, but we're much larger. This is both a help and a hindrance. I cancelled my cable about 10 years ago due to distrust of cable news and found several independent journalists whom I've never caught lying or omitting important information from me and add a few more every year if I find a promising one. Some have made mistakes, but admitted to them and I can't believe that's the same thing. I catch a few in bad journalism occasionally and delete them, but overall I've had good success. I hate researching everything I read before posting or talking about it, but that's the only way I feel I have a chance at seeing what's somewhat in the neighborhood of truth.
