Yeah. I don’t think the average German knew more about where Jews were going, anymore than the American citizenry knew where the Japanese were going when we rounded them up and put them on trains.

Oh, that’s right. America did the same shit.

Except for the systemic mass murder......

We were the good guys. Peoples rights weren’t always respected, but we didn’t do anything like the horrors perpetuated by the Nazis or Japanese. We aren’t ALWAYS the problem.

Bad shit happens in wars. That’s why they should be avoided.

I’m talking about the average persons perspective. I highly doubt the average Private First Class, or the baker, or the homeowner knew anything outside, “yeah, they get rounded up and put on trains.” Which we participated in. Lucky for us, there was t a secret extermination program at the end of those rail lines.
