Peter, this is good but please note: The government is working on introducing new legislation and plans to change the constitution. The new laws will give the government more power eg to order lockdowns, to censor social media. The covid passes are still there to register your vaccinations, even if you dont have to show them when going to a restaurant etc. They are biding their time hoping that people won’t notice the passing of new laws. Please keep this in mind and watch new proposed legislation.

I would also like to add the following. My brother and his wife just bought a condo near Orebro and when he told me that paying back the mortgage was not mandatory. i couldnt believe it but as i came to understand that a lot of Swedes are in big debt to the government due to the socialist structure, that they would meekly acquiesce to new govt legislation out of fear of losing jobs and homes. I see the Swedish situation as precarious. Am i wrong? I hope im wrong! :(

Well it remains to be seen whether the removal of restrictions remain or if they will come back, but Sweden has had relatively few restrictions to begin with compared with many other countries. I will of course be following this, and write about anything important that happens, here on my Substack!

I haven't heard about the thing you mentioned about mortgage, as far as I know everyone has to pay that back, allthough it is true that Sweden is very socialist.

Doug Ford’s proposal [Ontario PM] for easing restrictions are almost identical to what happened in Sweden. One should not be fooled into believing that Sweden has scrapped the covid pass altogether. Any establishment still has the right to ask for a pass. Also, the government is pressing ahead with their vax program. They are now offering a fourth dose. My brother has already had several prompts on his phone to book a booster, although it is only three months since his second dose.
