This is wonderful news. Are Swedish elections secure? They will try to cheat to win.

Yeah, Swedish elections are as secure as they can be. All voting is done on paper and they use good systems with ID / birth numbers to ensure you can only vote once.

If only we had this security in our US elections.

Hand counted paper ballots is the only way.

Black boxes and algorithms that we are not allowed to audit are completely unacceptable.

I stopped voting for the same reason that I don't play in poker games that are rigged.

Electronic voting is basically unheard of in Europe.

I’ll still vote hoping TX keeps elections safe.

Oh dear, then you weren’t paying attention in 2018. You may remember that for the first hour or so of counting, SD were cruising to the top, comfortably. When they finally WERE at the top, the vote counting machines jammed (?) and the main Val.se website crashed. Unprecedented. It came back online with SD again in third place. The numbers climbed, the technology crashed again. What should have been a roundhouse slam of an election was a total bust. As a second-generation immigrant you this fantastic country, I am not holding my breath for a change of government. It is unconscionable to me that people are voting left at this time, but if enough people (really) do, it’s game over for the conservative block and I doubt they’ll come back into power again.

No idea. So much corruption there. Like Biden “winning” here. We love Giorgia Meloni. Love her. Italy needs so much help. Read the comments on Facebook for Italys Minister of Health. They are getting blasted by people furious at the scamdemic and vaccines

Sweden is already past the point of return unless they start to send these people back to where they came from.

But I don't think that even a right wing party will have the balls to do what is right.

If you think the “invasion” of “migrants” is bad in Sweden, you should come to south TEXAS where Biden has opened the border to anyone and everyone with no vetting whatsoever. Even if apprehended, they are logged and turned loose. The influx of child trafficking and fentanyl is killing this country. These are not “migrants”…these are illegal aliens. Migrants are lawful entrants, these are unlawful. More than 2 million we know about, hundreds of thousands not apprehended!

Fellow Texan here. These small towns in southern part are completely overwhelmed. The southern ranches are trashed, fences torn down and their homes are on full alert for break ins. NYC and DC griping about a few thousand after previously proclaiming all are welcome. When they got a few bus loads, quickly changed their tune and wanted federal help. It’s up to 3 million illegals processed since Biden opened the border. Who knows how many more. I see illegals on side of road all the time where a vehicle was stopped and apprehended. It’s a mess

Hope the Swedes and all of Europe wake up soon before it’s too late. France seems to have fallen furthest and still re-elected macron: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-speak-french

Hopefully, some of the more moderate right leaning parties will band together to defeat the Socialist Democrats! If Sweden is anything like the rest of Europe and America, the level of violence and unrest is only going to escalate as food and services become more and more expensive with winter approaching. I’m afraid things are going to get much worse all over the world before they get better! We should all be prepared…

Great news. Can only hope more people realize that high crimes, high rapes, no-go zones are the products of socialism and will only get worse if not stopped. Allowing ‘refugees’ (I use that term but reality invaders) with no value of women or children to flood any country will bring their slanted view to be dealt with.

Refugees is not the problem, Socialism is the problem.

but isn't it the immigrants who commit most of the crime, rape etc? Whether socialism or capitalism or what ever?

Expand full comment
Ruth H's avatar

Socialism is used to destroy everything—families, states/countries—to be beholden to the government. This starts with freebies for ‘refugees’ and making citizens feel like they are inhumane if not willing to allow them no-go zones and their culture over assimilation with the welcoming country.

Off topic but what exactly is the Pirate party? Come to think of it, that is probably what we already have in the US.

“social conservative party with a nationalist view”

So national socialists? Oof, when has that ever gone wrong before?

Expand full comment
Peter Imanuelsen's avatar

Actually that is not what it means. Social conservative is a word used in Sweden for people who have conservative views on social issues, like abortion etc. Basically the opposite of a socialist.

Haha thanks, I was just being cheeky really, I was aware of that. I just hate the conservative tendency to add ‘social’ to their name in order to make them look nicer.

Conservatism is actually the ‘good’ way, I wish they would be more confident of that.

The thing is though, the Swedish Democrats have gone further and further left the last years because of all the name calling done by the media.

They are probably way to the left of the Republicans for example.

Thats the issue for me. The left keeps going leftwards into insanity and the right just follows them. I lived in Victoria (Australia) during the C19 nonsense. Dan Andrews is pretty much Chairman Mao these days.

Expand full comment
Peter Imanuelsen's avatar

The right allows the left to control the narrative, so they just get pushed further and further left.

Like Trump is probably similar to Bill Clinton, yet Trump is called far-right nowaday.

Right/left is a false dichotomy in my opinion. The history of right/left is just a way to choose the flavour of turd you want. Everyone has forgotten that ‘no turd thanks’ should be an option.
