Thats the issue for me. The left keeps going leftwards into insanity and the right just follows them. I lived in Victoria (Australia) during the C19 nonsense. Dan Andrews is pretty much Chairman Mao these days.
Right/left is a false dichotomy in my opinion. The history of right/left is just a way to choose the flavour of turd you want. Everyone has forgotten that ‘no turd thanks’ should be an option.

The thing is though, the Swedish Democrats have gone further and further left the last years because of all the name calling done by the media.
They are probably way to the left of the Republicans for example.
